Intensive “crash” driving courses in Islay

fastPass intensive driving school provides intensive, or “crash”, driving courses throughout Islay.
We include a practical driving test, (and a theory test, too, if required), and driving lessons can usually be delivered in an automatic, or manual, dual-controlled tuition car.

In Islay we can arrange a course of 5 days for about 3 - 4 hours a day and the number of days that the course will be booked over will be agreed when you make your booking. Your driving instructor will then prepare you for your Practical test, which is normally arranged for the last day of the course.

If you have not yet passed your theory we can offer free online theory support through our specialised website that holds over 2,500 mock questions and 135 hazard perception clips, to which you will have unlimited access, or if you’ve already booked your driving test. We can also offer 'Lessons only' courses for those in a hurry.

If you are raring to go with your theory test already passed but your local test centres waiting time is holding you back, one of our fastPass fastTest Residential courses, may be the way to go.
We have a few selected areas where we can arrange a course for within a fortnight, your travel and accommodation will be extra but we will arrange any details on your behalf.
(All course prices quoted will not include your accommodation or travel, these will be added once the course is arranged)

We have developed a Course Calculator to ensure you choose the right course for you in a few easy steps.
This will give you prices and availability for the best course available to you in Islay.
Course arrangements will be determined by the course you pick and will be confirmed with office staff once the deposit has been taken.

  • 40+ hours over 1 or 2 weeks would be appropriate for a Beginner
  • 30 to 40 hours over 1 or 2 weeks would be suitable for a Novice
  • 25 to 30 hours over 1 or 2 weeks works for an Intermediate learner
  • 15 to 20 hours over 3 to 5 days is OK for Experienced pupils
  • 10 hours over 2 or 3 days might be enough if you’ve previously taken a test

Once you have used the Course Calculator and decided which course you want, you can either book online by paying a deposit or call us in the office weekdays 8am to 8pm or Saturday 9am to 5pm.
